LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Senior Nicole Koski (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon) paced the UW-Superior women's track and field team at the Phil Esten Challenge on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Sports Complex, turning in an eighth-place time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase of 12:49.27.
 
Koski's finish helped the Yellowjackets earn their only point of the meet.
 
Elsewhere, sophomore Jeanna Scanlon (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon) placed 11th in the in the 5,000-meter run in 22:14.02.
 
Senior LeAnn Gow (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) was 15th in the 100 meters in 12.80 and 20th in the 200 meters in 26.46.
 
The 4x100-meter relay team of Alexxa DeQuevedo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley) Kenzy Kreuzer (Stoddard, Wis./De Soto), Jess Newman (Wanamingo, Minn./Pine Island) and Gow ran 13th overall in 54.38.
 
Junior Kasha Hughlett (Maple, Wis./Northwestern) was 15th in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.07 meters.
 
The Yellowjackets are back in action next Saturday at Macalester's Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
