RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- Senior
LeAnn Gow (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) finished second in the 200-meter dash and fourth in the 400-meter dash to lead the UW-Superior women's track and field team at the Falcon Invite in Smith Stadium at Ramer Field on Saturday.
Gow ran 26.46 seconds in the in the 200 and 59.51 in the 400 as UWS finished sixth overall in the team standings with 43 points.
Alexxa DeQuevedo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley) also posted a second-place finish in the high jump at 1.30 meter to tie with teammate
Matti Johnson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing).
Savanna Renderman (Altoona, Wis./Altoona) was fourth in the event at 1.20 meters.
Kasha Hughlett (Maple, Wis./Northwestern) was third overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.93 meters. Hughlett also placed fifth in the discus at 32.64 meters.
UWS returns to action Thursday at the Lee Krough Invitational at Gustavus Adolphus.
