LA CROSSE, Wis. --Â Senior
LeAnn Gow (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) finished third overall in the 400-meter dash to lead the UW-Superior women's track and field team in the Eagle Open at UW-La Crosse's Veterans Memorial Sports Complex on Friday.

Gow 57.18 in the race, just over a half-second out of top spot as the Yellowjackets competed in the non-scoring meet. Gow also clocked 26.21 for fourth place in the 200-meter dash on the day.

Alexxa DeQuevedo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley) was eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:10.42 while
Kenzy Kreuzer (Stoddard, Wis./De Soto) was ninth in 1:24.32. Kreuzer also finished 11th in the 100-meter hurdles in 20.00 seconds.

Emma Erickson (International Falls, Minn./Falls) was 18th in the javelin with a toss of 19.13 meters. She also led the Yellowjackets in the shot put (8.08 meters, 20th), discus (31.26 meters, 26th) and hammer (34.63 meters, 26th).

UWS is back in action at the North Central Combined Events Qualifier in Naperville, Ill., on Monday and Tuesday. Competition both days begins at 11 a.m.
