Box Score WHITEWATER, Wis. and SAINT PETER, Minn. – Day two of the Yellowjacket women's tennis split squad commenced Saturday, with half finishing up play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional, and the other half wrapping up play at the Gusties Invite.
 
Doubles play at the ITA Midwest Regional began with the freshmen duo of Claudia Curtis () and Maya Haupt () competing against Georgia Nissen and Natalie Kaiser from Wartburg. The Knights would get the best of the Yellowjackets in this match, defeating Curtis and Haupt 8-2.
 
Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Giulia Araujo De Barros () would follow, defeating Maddy Coopmans and Jewel Lindwall from Edgewood by an 8-5 decision in the first round, but the duo from Edgewood would flip the script during the second round to defeat Tejada and Barros 8-5, rounding out the ITA.
 
During the Gusties Invite, Kate Jonas () would go 2-0 on the day in singles action, defeating Lowry from Concordia (Minn.) 8-1 and Abby Ross from Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) competitor Northwestern 8-6.
 
Jessi Kukowski (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown) finished her day with a 1-1 split, falling to Ashley Ulset from Saint Mary's (Minn.) 8-5 and defeating Chloe Hasbergen from St. Scholastica 8-3. Teammate Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) would also secure a split, losing an 8-1 decision to Annalise Skrade from Concordia and picking up an 8-5 victory over Skyler Robinson from Bethel.
 
Brooke Wilfong (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) would fall to Morgan Kathman from Wartburg 8-5 but rallied back to secure an 8-5 victory against Saint Mary's Kathryn Stiegal.
 
The final two Yellowjackets in action were Stella Harris () and Kylie Coel (). Harris would fall to Emily Yehle from Bethany Lutheran 8-4 and Rayna Baumgard from Northwestern 8-6. Coel was defeated by Wartburg's Kelsey Dammeier 8-2, but she rallied and picked up a victory against Giana Atkins of Coe in an 8-6 decision.
 
The Yellowjackets are back in action Sept. 30 where they face St. Norbert at the YMCA Tennis Center in Eau Claire, Wis. at 10 a.m. Additionally, they will face UW-Oshkosh in Baldwin, Wis. at 3 p.m.
