Altoona, Wis. - After back-to-back first place finishes the UWS men's golf team looked to stay hot at the Wrigglesworth Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire. After day one the Yellowjackets A team found themselves in a tie for fifth place while the B team found themselves in 22nd place.  

Tournament Notes:  

• Blu Anderson (Amery, Wis./Amery) led the way for the Yellowjacket A team firing an even par round on the day. His round included four birdies on 37/34 split and a tie for fourth place individually. 

• Andrew Slatten (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) and Trevor Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior) each carded rounds of 76 on the afternoon.  

• Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) scored a 78 on the day with a 39/39 split.  

• Rounding out the A team was Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) who shot an 9-over 80 on the round. 

• The B team was led by August Lang (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) who also carded an 80 with a 40/40 split.  

• JD Glampe (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg Casco) carded an 82 for the round and was able to shave four strokes on the back nine.  

• Dillon Scheufeli (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) shot an 84 for the round and had a 42/42 split.  

• Rounding out the B Team were Sam Brennan (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and Cole Moore (Little Rock, Ark./Sabetha) who carded an 86 and 89 respectively. 

The Yellowjackets return for day two of the Wrigglesworth Invitational on Monday with their tee time set for 9:30 a.m.
