SARTELL, Minn. – The Yellowjacket men's golf team took on round two of the SJU Fall Invite, this time teeing off at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course. UWS entered the final round of action in 11th place and held steady following the final day of competition.
Tournament Notes
- Shooting an even-par round with an eagle on the par-five 10th was Andrew Slatten (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing). He jumped 30 spots on the individual leaderboard to finish 35th overall.
- Blu Anderson (Amery, Wis./Amery) and Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) followed with rounds of 76 and 77, respectively.
- Shooting a 39/40 split was Trevor Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior), while Andrew Rude (Superior, Wis./Superior) capped the A team with an 11-over 83.
- The B team was led by Dillon Scheufeli (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern), who carded a pair of birdies to log a five-over 77. JD Glampe (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg Casco) followed with an 80 for his second round.
- Both Caden Knutson (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins) and August Lang (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) followed with identical rounds of 83, while Jamin Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior) rounded out Superior's entrants with a 94.
The 'Jackets will have one final tune-up before the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) championship. They will enter The Grand Intercollegiate next Sunday hosted by UW-Stout, which will take place at Grand Geneva Highlands in Lake Geneva, Wis.
