SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket men's golf team played host to the Seventh Annual Twin Ports Collegiate Saturday at Nemadji Golf Club. In a field of 13 teams from 10 different schools, the Yellowjackets found themselves in first place after shooting a collective 11-over 299.
 
Tournament Notes

• Andrew Slatten (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) ranks third on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 34/38 split for a round one score of 72. He logged 10 consecutive pars and three birdies on the day.
• Blu Anderson (Amery, Wis./Amery) and Andrew Rude (Superior, Wis./Superior) followed, sharing seventh place after shooting two-over 74. Anderson fired two birdies while Rude logged three.
• Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) followed with a round of 79, while Dillon Scheufeli (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) rounded out the first Yellowjacket team with a nine-over 81.
• Superior's B team was led by Trevor Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior), who finished the day in 11th place after a three-over 75.
• Both August Lang (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) and JD Glampe (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg Casco) finished seven over on the day, ending with 79's. Sam Brennan (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) followed with an eight-over 80.
• Caden Knutson (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins) rounded out the team with a 15-over 87.
• The C team was spearheaded by Cole Moore (Little Rock, Ark./Sabetha), firing nine-over to end with a 41/40 split.
• Ending round one with rounds of 84 were Seth Pettingill (Superior, Wis./Superior) and Carson Riddle (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon). Zach Lussier (Brossard, Quebec/College Charles-Lemoyne) followed with a 41/44 split at 85.
• Jamin Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior) rounded out the team with a 97, while Kobe Grant (Vernon, British Columbia/South Kamloops Secondary), competing as an individual, capped his Saturday with a 96.

 
Round two of the Twin Ports Collegiate is set for Sunday, with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
