Connie (Urmanski) Sinz was a trailblazer for the transformation of the Yellowjacket women's basketball team. As a four-year starter, she played in all 103 games and led Superior in most offensive categories. During her senior campaign, she led the 'Jackets to a 19-8 overall record, setting a new program record for wins in a single season while advancing to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship game for the first time in program history. She received a slew of postseason awards and was named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy Award, honoring the most outstanding basketball player in NCAA Division III.
