Don Carlson was a goaltender for the Yellowjacket men's hockey team for three seasons (1981-84), and currently ranks in the top 10 all-time in games played, minutes played, saves, and shutouts. Carlson helped the Yellowjackets reach the NAIA tournament in all three of his seasons, culminating in third-place finishes in 1983 and 1984. An All-WSUC pick in 1982, Carlson earned NAIA All-American honors in 1983 and 1984.

  • 1981-82 Rookie of the Year
  • Team Co-Captain in 1983 and Captain in 1984
  • Named UWS men’s hockey and Wisconsin Hall of Fame Game MVP in both 1983 and 1984
  • Selected to the NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team and the NAIA District 14 Hockey Team in 1983
  • NAIA All-American in 1983 and 1984
