University of Wisconsin-Superior Athletic Hall of Fame
Former UWS men's hockey defenseman Dr. Chris Bell was inducted into the UW-Superior Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022 as the recipient of the Dr. Lydia C. Thering Meritorious Service Award.
A three-year member of the Yellowjackets from 1998-01, Bell is the owner and director of performance training at Impact Sports Training (IST), a business he created in 2006.
Today, Impact Sports Training/IST CrossFit, housed in a nearly-6,000-foot facility in West Duluth (1621 West Michigan Avenue) is one of the busiest training facilities in the Twin Ports. People from elite athletes to beginners and everyone in between come through the door daily to work out, but more importantly change their lives. It's the daily interaction with clients, and his staff, that keeps getting Bell out of bed and into the gym every day.
Bell has also served as an assistant coach with the men's hockey team under current head coach Rich McKenna.
