Erin Kegley arrived at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2003, and by the time she graduated in 2007, established herself as one of the greatest athletes in school history. A two-sport star for the Yellowjackets, Kegley's exploits in hockey and softball make her a natural for induction into the UW-Superior Athletic Hall of Fame.
Kegley graduated with a host of school records and remains the most decorated athlete in the history of Yellowjacket women's hockey. For four straight years, she led the team in scoring, setting records for goals scored in a career (90) and points scored in a career (161), all in just 100 games.
She was a four-time All-NCHA first team selection (2004-07), and the NCHA twice named her Player of the Year (2005-06). The American Hockey Coaches Association named her First Team All-American in 2004-07.
Kegley also was a force on the softball diamond, again having her name all over the WIAC record book. At the time of induction, she placed 17th in WIAC history in career batting average (.403), 14th in doubles (40), 11th in hits (205) and 10th in runs batted in (129). Additionally, her 71 hits in 2004 were the fifth-most for a single season in WIAC history. The same year, Kegley batted .490, the eighth highest single-season batting average in the WIAC ever.
In 2004, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association chose Kegley as a Third Team All-American, one of just two Yellowjackets to be honored since moving into the WIAC in 1996. In addition, the WIAC chose her four times as All-WIAC first team pick in softball (2004-07).
