Dave Lupul was the anchor on the blue line during his time with the Yellowjacket en's hockey team, and used a sparkling freshman season to help the Yellowjackets win the 2002 NCAA Championship. Lupul could take over a game at any time and was known as one of the toughest and best defensemen in the nation. 

His career yielded four All-WIAC selections, three All-NCHA picks and two AHCA All-American nods. Lupul also went onto a lengthy professional career after graduation.

  • One of just 39 players in school history with at least 100 points
  • Second highest scoring defenseman in school history
  • Third highest single-game point total in school history (6)
  • School record for most assists in a single game (6)
  • Four time All-WIAC 1st Team selection (2002-2005)
  • Three time All-NCHA 1st Team selection (2003-2005)
  • AHCA 2nd Team All-American in 2004 and 2005
